Apartment Review for The Villas Parkmerced - San Francisco, CA

I just read a 'Terrible Place to Live' on apartmentratings.com and feel compelled to say that everything written in that posting is completely true. I have lived at Villas Parkmerced for one year and now we have to look for a new place to live. The new management team have effectively managed to push out several of the exisitng tenants once the lease is up for renewal by increasing the rent by $300 and charging a $30monthly pet rent fee. We paid a $500 deposit for a pet upon moving in and now must pay the additional fee. Please do some research before deciding to sign a lease here. A large portion of the tenants seem to be students who have parties on a regular basis. The Villas security and the local police to do little to remedy this problem. Although I have not experienced the car vandalism that I have read about several times we have had problems with theft when all of our potted plants were stolen from our porch one friday night. The mold is a major problem here as well. We have purchased a large dehumidifier and kept the apartment well venilated but it still grows all over the walls and we have thrown out a lot of clothing.
