Apartment Review for Pacific Regional Group - San Francisco, CA

Apartments are ok though small and pricey for the space. That's SF. BUT, the management, Pacific Regional Group, is pretty unprofessional. The commissioned leasing employee is friendly until you hand over your deposit. Suddenly he doesn't return calls to set up your move-in date. The owner was informed but he defended his employee. Not even a disingenuous sorry. The apartment isn't clean in the nooks and crannies. On move-out, no matter what, they'll charge a cleaning fee and deduct it from your deposit. They're required by law to mail your deposit within 21 days of move out but the owner is "forgetful." I gave 30 days notice and was told to pay a certain prorated amount. I sent them a check for the amount they told me. When the deposit refund check is cut, they deducted another two days of rent. They know people are desperate to find apartments in SF so they'll treat you however they want. This is the first time in my life I haven't received the full deposit back.
