Apartment Review for The Fillmore Center - San Francisco, CA

I am a traveling therapist and I actually selected this apt. complex to live. Only because it was closer to work and all the touristy stuff. I ended up moving out 2 months later. There were 7 people shot in two days at the housing projects 2 blks to the east and 2 blks to the south. They charged $4,000 to break the lease! The apartments are nothing spectactular and you pay a fortune for them. They also charged $200/month for a parking space, and I was in the public parking lot! They boast about 24/hr security but I only saw someone walking the grounds 50% of the time. Also the gaurds aren't even armed with a taser gun! What are they going to do if someone actually tries to attack a resident! One of the security officers even said to me point blank "the Fillmore Center is trying to be a gated community without a gate." Don't even get me started on the "ammenities" of this complex. There is a fitness center on the grounds but they will charge you an obscene amount for a membership. I hated going to the Safeway that is around the corner, either day or night. There were always "deals" going down in the parking lot, and no one ever stopped it. Bottom line: DON'T LIVE HERE!
