LAZY MANAGER
Review Date: 10/3/2006 Reviewer: Anonymous
The biggest problem with this building is the lazy and shifty building manager. He often ignores requests and has even ignored my knocking on his door a few times ( i could hear him inside). The entire time I lived here, I had a stove that didn't work and was NEVER REPAIRED despite my numerous requests to him. My bath tub was always leaking, which also was never taken care of. The elevator was ALWAYS breaking and I even got stuck in it once. The washers and driers were always malfunctioning and even ruined my clothes because the water being used in them somehow was dirty and smelly. If you plan on not being home when the mail comes, you can count on NOT receiving it, because the manager NEVER lets drivers inside to leave any packages. I should have taken pictures upon first moving in, which was a mistake on my part. The apartment wasn't clean when i first moved in. There was damage to the wooden floors, tiles coming loose in the bathroom, a broken window that wasn't able to be closed (which let cold air and noise in ALL THE TIME, and it's a very noisy street to begin with), filthy blinds, and a very loose door knob. (I only moved in because my lease ended at my other apartment and I HAD to find a new place and this was the only one available I could afford). Upon moving out, I was charged for all the things that were wrong with the apartment upon moving in. I often wonder where the money went, because if the last tenant was charged for them as well, shouldn't the apartment have been clean and fixed when I moved in, in the first place???? When I received my sparse share of the security deposit, with it came a vague ONE sentence summary of things that were repaired followed by a grand total. By law, it should have been itemized. I have no idea how much everything cost separately. BUYER BEWARE! |
